The Department of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of
Connecticut will present a seminar on the new release of the Universal Transverse
Mercator (UTM) grid mapping system on Monday, October 28th. The speaker is
Mr. Craig Rollins, a mathematician who works for the federal government, who is
the author of the revised technical report that defines UTM. Craig will walk us
through what has changed and what GIS professionals should know to use the
latest version of UTM correctly.
