Do you want to create effective maps suitable for use in publications or conference presentations? Join Kim Diver for a hands-on workshop to learn how to make a thematic map in ArcGIS. Skills provided in the step-by-step workshop include adding data, joining Excel data to polygon data, classifying features, labeling features, and creating a map layout with a legend, scale, title, and data source citations. Data are provided. However, participants are welcome to work with their own data sets. No prior GIS experience required.
