This Monday at 3 pm Allen Carroll, Program Manager for Storytelling at Esri, will present “Story Maps: Geo-Enabled Storytelling in the Digital Age.” The seminar is in the Woodhead Lounge (Exley Room 184) at 3:00 pm, with reception to follow.
Carroll, former chief cartographer at National Geographic, creates powerful spatial narratives through the integration of maps with multimedia content, data visualization, and user experience. GIS, remote sensing, GPS, and the Internet have transformed maps from static documents into dynamic windows on a rapidly changing world. Carroll will describe his recent adventures developing map-based narratives.
