ASU’s School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning (SGSUP) invites applications for the PhD GIS or PhD Geography program for Fall 2022 admission. The successful applicant will work with Professor Stewart Fotheringham on a recent NSF grant. The topic of the PhD research will be on local modeling within a regression framework (MGWR) but can be focused on a number of sub-themes and can be statistical or computational or both. It is strongly encouraged that applicants have a good understanding of statistics and be able to compute in a Python environment.
