Dr. Patrick Bitterman from the Geography Program in the School of Global Integrative Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) is seeking a motivated PhD student for an NSF-funded research project. The position will begin in Fall 2021 and is funded for 4 years. The student will work on the NSF Coupled Natural Human Systems (CNH) Project “Modeling the dynamics of human and estuarine systems with regulatory feedbacks“. The student will aid in the development of a coupled agent-based modeling platform of the water governance system in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
Funding support will include tuition waiver, stipend, and some conference travel. Priority will be given to students with a Master’s degree. Previous programming experience is preferred, but not required. A willingness to work in an interdisciplinary research environment is a must.
