Trimble GPS units are available for Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff to borrow from the Science Library (during regular business hours).
Each device comes with charging and download cables as well as a quick start guide. Users should collect data using Trimble TerraSync (http://trl.trimble.com/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-730848/TerraSync_GSG.pdf). The guide from the USFS gives a nice brief overview with images (http://www.fs.fed.us/database/gps/documents/TerraSync.pdf). (If you are relying on real-time data you should turn on SBAS in settings.)
